Cristina Vera, founder and CEO of Vera Communications is a communications strategist with over 14 years of professional experience. She specializes in getting to know the clients’ needs, identifying project objectives and delivering high quality results through use of traditional and emerging platforms on budget and on schedule. Based on her wealth of experience, she’s able to bring together specialized teams to help clients meet their specific goals.
She launched Vera Communications, Inc. in December, 2009 in Chicago, IL. In 2011, she expanded her business and opened a second office in the booming city of Orlando, FL.
Her most recent work includes a corporate identity for the National Head Start Association, event marketing for Hispanic Scholarship Fund, a citywide marketing campaign for the Chicago Department of Family and Support Services Head Start program and marketing and social media for Martha Munizzi.
Other notable work includes a local 2010 U.S. Census awareness campaign to increase the participation of minorities and hard-to-reach communities. She also received a Golden Trumpet award for the Chicago Head Start campaign, which increased Latino enrollment by ten percent. She created and executed the first bi-lingual Chicago Park District summer day camp registration campaign to successfully increase the number of early registrants and fully enroll 25,000 day camp slots.
